This large 24” x 24” art panel has many layers to give the illusion of a bird’s nest. The background is painted to represent the sky while gold leaf and mica pieces with an added patina surround the real bird’s nest and blue egg. Resin covers the gilded egg shell and flattened empty nest. The nest I found in my yard months after the birds had left their temporary home.
